'I’m beginning to think that I should not have come to this place.'
A snowy mountain adventure with speculative and scifi elements, horror, and emotional depth. An enormous mountain suddenly appears in the Pacific Ocean. A small scientific expedition goes up, and what happens next is filled with tension, horror, and mind bendery. It has a great mix of psychological horror and creature horror along the lines of John Carpenter's The Thing. I loved every minute with this book!
'But for the time being, I am safe, I think, from the horrors of this mountain. We were visited last night, in the dark and the cold, by things that we do not yet understand.'
