The Last Hour Between Worlds by Melissa Caruso

3.5

It's a weird experience, reading a book and sympathising with a person and hurting for her and deeply disliking her.
This is how I felt for the narrator, who is overly religious and judgy towards different lifestyles. A person who sees people as a project.

I loved that there was an older protagonist who's a new mum, I loved the time weirdness, I enjoyed the world building, and the enemies forced to work together who aren't really enemies. And lastly I loved the whodunnit murder mystery.

But it felt like it was lacking something? Maybe I just didn't gel with the writing?

Anyways, I want more books with a protagonist like this please!
