I loved Shadow and Flame even more than the first one, which I didn’t think was possible, but here we are.

Fantasy has always been my favorite genre. Even as a child, I was drawn to suspense and tragedy over fluff and good times. So, the dark turn this series took was a major contributor to its elevation from an amazing story to a favorite. There’s just something about torture and enslavement that sparks my interest.
