More Than a Best Friend by Emma R. Alban

4.0

More than a Best Friend features all the classic Victorian upper class activities like balls, walks, picnics and horse races, and a very Bridgerton-like premise where young women start the season with the intent of finding husbands, but friendship, and eventually something more, blooms between two of the women. Might a plot of setting up their parents open a path for them to be truly together? I found this to be a breath of fresh air in the genre of historical fiction, and I already ordered the sequel!
