I adored Russ and Aurora’s story from their very first night together. I am always a sucker for a shy mmc and Russ was a DREAMBOAT. Everything he did had me smiling. Aurora was also a strong fmc and I admired how she let her walls down with Russ even if it went against everything she thought was best because of her past. The progression of their relationship felt very mature to me, in the sense that there was not a lot of drama, it just was not the right time until they no longer could resist and I appreciated that. I loved that they built each other up differently during their time as friends and in a relationship. The found family of this book was also amazing, I love the way that Henry broke down Russ’s walls in terms of letting people in because it brought him amazing friends and watching those friendships grow was so heartwarming. On top of that the little family they made of friends at came with Xander was adorable, they were fun and there for each other and I ate it up. Aurora and Russ both dealt with family things and I appreciated how they both had times when it was especially overwhelming but their significant other never gave up on them and walked away, they stayed and worked on things together. I thought the camp counselor setting was also fun and different for me as I have not personally read many books in that setting. I continue to enjoy this universe and its characters. Russ and Aurora are currently in my spot for favorites because their story honestly felt like a warm hug, it was just so loving, fun, and real and I fell for it almost immediately. I ADORED the epilogue. I love the glimpse we got into the lives of Russ, Aurora, and their friends. Epilogues that take place multiple years in the future are always going to be my favorite and this one was perfection.

I loved that they did not have a big conventional wedding, just something in their backyard, and were currently living child-free with a bunch of animals because as someone who does not want anything like that, it's just validating in a sense.
