Brilliant. This book is absolutely brilliant in more ways than I can describe. The plot, the characters, their complexity, the poetic nature of the writing…I could gush about this book for hours (seriously, message me if you want to do this), but for the purpose of this review, I will say this: it is brilliant, and you must read it.
I know why some people may DNF it or rate it low. It’s slow. But it is timeless. It spans more than 300 years. Addie has to wait that long to find someone who might remember her. You just have to read it to discover what makes her–and her story–worth remembering.
