The unreliable narrator trope is overdone now, but when this book was written it was still in fashion. This book is a psychological thriller and for those who are sensitive there is a somewhat graphic sexual assault scene that I found somewhat unnecessary in its detail. There was one semi-surprising twist that made me go back to several parts earlier in the book to re-read some of the details. Overall, it was a super quick read (one day) and scratched the itch of a a quick easy read to get through a slight reading slump.
