Queen of Air and Darkness by Cassandra Clare

5.0

4.5
Queen of Air and Darkness is the last book of The Dark Artifices series and like all of the final books in Cassandra Clare's series, it's my favorite one of the whole trilogy.
The Dark Artifices was never my favorite Shadowhunter series, so I think that if you absolutely love this series, these characters, and Lord of Shadows, which is by far the slowest Shadowhunter book (literally I just re-read, and while I do enjoy it, it is a very slow book, almost nothing happens until the last 150 pages), you probably won't be completely satisfied because I do agree that some of the plots were resolved pretty quickly and easily, and quite a few of our main characters and plots don't end up being resolved, since this book pretty much sets up The Wicked Powers trilogy, the last Shadowhunter series.
The reason I took a half star is mostly that the book took a while to pick up, the first part of the book (since it is separated into three parts), was quite slow and a little boring, but towards the end of this part of the story, and the next two parts (especially part two), the story just didn't stop and I freaking out every single page.
A new world is introduced to us, and it's something that you probably can't even guess what it is, and it's something that we have never seen on any Shadowhunter book. And like Cassandra Clare has previously said this book changes the whole Shadowhunter world forever.
I'm so excited for The Wicked Powers since the main characters are going to be my favorite characters from this series (also my favorite ship), and the plot that is set up in this book which will probably continue on to this series is going to be crazy.
