Book Lovers by Emily Henry

4,5/5
I’d estimate that Book Lovers is the one book I’ve seen on Instagram more than any other during the last half a year or so. I honestly haven’t come across a negative review and I won’t be writing one myself.
The core plot is this: a literary agent and an editor from New York get off on the wrong foot, but keep bumping into each other in a small town and eventually, feelings arise. The writing is stellar, a step up from Beach Read even, and it felt like I laughed out loud every other page. Such poignant humor about small town romcoms and the publishing world! I also love how the sister-sister relationship is given an equal amount of spotlight as the romance, which I find quite rare.
All in all, I'd say that Book Lovers is worth the hype for the giggles alone, but the character development, central conflict and male lead are all great too.
