I'm Glad My Mom Died by Jennette McCurdy

challenging dark emotional funny reflective sad fast-paced

4.5

I feel weird giving this book a rating. Although the only reason I rated it below a 5 is for personal taste in the style. There were moments when the style of writing caused me to pause and reread.
Thus being said… The discussions around what it means to be a child star, have your identity narrowed or even stripped from you, and the effects of an eating disorder were full of truth and raw emotion. A wonderful book in its candor.
