Interesting subject and engaging story

I bought this historical novel as a 99 cent special, having never heard of the author and knowing virtually nothing about the fashion world. I really enjoyed it and learned a lot about the industry and Paris during and after WWII. I found Armond's explanation of his behavior fascinating and thought provoking.
