Gift of the Darkness by E.E. Holmes
5.0
This is one I've been waiting for ... sad to see this series end. I've loved it. My only complaint, was maybe not enough humor, as Savvy was statue-like for most of the book, and Milo wasn't around much. It was all pretty serious, but action packed. A definite continuation from the last book book (I mean all the books are connected, continuing the story, but they all seemed to have their own definite storyline that wrapped up within that book ... book 6 was more of a setup for this one). Lots of events from past books were touched upon. I've only read the series once, so the little refreshers were good to have. I'm not one for re-reading, but I might with this series. I READ this whole series (I've been getting through audiobooks faster the last few years). The entire series is on Kindle Unlimited ... I'd LOVE it if the audio was added too, as it is available with many KU books. I'm wondering if my mind's pronunciation of Durupinen, Caomhnóir, Airechtas, triskele, Geatgrima, etc.
This society is interesting in that the women have the power. It mentioned "our foremothers", the power coming to sisters, the high priestesses, etc. I can just see this being featured like the Netflix category (series with a strong female lead) ... this is strong female everyone!
