The Honey Witch by Sydney J. Shields
3.0
Meh. This book started off so strong! I was digging the vibes, the predicaments our main character was in, the setting, and magic. I was really loving it.
Then the love interest was introduced. And *I* lost all interest. Lottie is described as the "notoriously grumpy skeptic," so it's obvious we're going to end up with a grumpy/sunshine or kind of enemies to lovers trope. . . .and it doesn't really work. Because Lottie is just plain rude and mean to Mari. If I was Mari, I would have given her the middle finger, never mind how lonely I am. But no. . . .there's just *something* about her! Baloney, I say.
So overall, this was a disappointment.
