I’ve literally just finished this book as I write this and my heart hurts. My hurt went through so much during this harrowing, heart breaking but beautiful tale of love, hope, desperation and war. Firstly, I believe what makes this story so amazing is that it’s told by the Greek gods, mainly our queen Aphrodite. The Greek gods added something special to this story and it’s a page-Turner. I read the first part of Lovely War to my Nan and she loved it, she didn’t want me to stop, I didn’t want to stop either. I’m just trash for a historical romance at this point.
