The Indie Spines Book Club picked this as the book club pick for November. As a Black Woman I love to support other Black Women; and Black Men, when I saw that the author was a Black Woman that's all It took for me to sign up to read it. The cover and blurb made me want to read it even more.

Black Love is so often depicted in a way that fits harmful stereotypes and this book didn't do that. It was a beautiful representation of Black Love. The Black Culture and AAVE was icing in the cake.

Sloane represents so many of us Americans who aren't poverty level poor and aren't making enough money to do more than survive. I loved the realness and rawness shown in the book. A lot of it resonated with me and I'm sure that it will resonate with others regardless of their race. Kasha painted a picture on page depicting everyday life for a majority of Americans and it was refreshing to see.

The steam and chemistry between these two was absolutely delicious! I couldn't get enough!!!

As a Social Worker who specializes in groups, I loved the real representation of what groups can be like. I loved the snippets throughout the book about what they learned in Anger Management. I do wish we saw it more on page and reallly got to see them start to change and grow. There was a lot of growth happening in this book!

This was my first book by this author and if will not be my last!
