Our Lady of Darkness by Fritz Leiber
4.0
I just gave this a re-read for Halloween. Moody, weird stuff. Name-drops H.P. Lovecraft, Clark Ashton Smith, Bach, Carl Jung — hell, Fritz even name-drops his own fiction. Set in San Francisco and featuring a former alcoholic who writes weird stories, it manages to turn the world of steel girders and paved surfaces into a genuinely haunted place.
