Six of Crows by Leigh Bardugo

3.0

I struggle with reviewing this book... I over all enjoyed it... But there were a couple major points that brought my rating down to a 3. First of all, I felt like points of view were from too many characters. It made it hard to get sucked into the story and get to know the characters well. It felt like by the end I didn’t know much more about the characters than I did a quarter way through the book.

Next, I found that the book moved waaaay too slow. I had to really push through the first 3/4 before I could really get into it.

And last I felt that the characters were under developed. There didn’t seem to be any character development or if there was it was very little. I also once again, felt like I didn’t get to know the characters. I found that with Jesper and Kaz it was almost a fight between two different people for each character. They would in one chapter have a completely different personality or thought process than the next.

With this all being said, I did enjoy the book and am now moving into Crooked Kingdom. I’m really hoping I get to know the characters more!!
