The Wren in the Holly Library by K.A. Linde
4.0
Over a decade ago monsters revealed themselves and threw the world into war that nearly destroyed it—until a truce known as the Monster Treaty was formed.
Kierse, a talented thief, unknowingly breaks it when she sneaks into the home of Graves, a mysterious and powerful monster, to steal a ring from his library.
Instead of making her life forfeit Graves offers a deal she cannot refuse, and Kierse finds herself a pawn in a centuries old game that she has no idea how to play.
The Wren in the Holly Library was absolutely fantastic! I loved how fast paced and intriguing it was with the monsters/folklore, magic system, and the heist aspect of it all.
AND THAT ENDING!!! I can’t wait for more!!
- monsters
- Celtic mythology
- forced proximity
- enemies to lovers
- roomies/ward, kinda
- boss x employee, kinda
