Norwegian Wood by Haruki Murakami

5.0

My First Ever Murakami Read that has....

1) Took me longer than usual to finish... But the end result is awesome - because I love this.
2) Made feel relatable to a certain character right away (I took everything that happened with that character very very personally)
3) Kind of changed my defended and changed my perspective towards "forever love and taking care".
4) Exhausted me emotionally so much that the Hangover afterwards is still there. (It's been nearly 48 hours since I finished this)
5) Made me to, start a liking towards long - detailed letters, which Toru, the narrator and the protagonist writes throughout in the book.
6) Warned me enough to take a look at the world around me and the people sorrounding me, because we never know what are they going through.
7) Kind of pushed me to express myself inorder to keep myself safe from drowning in the ocean of depression.
8) Helped me become more empathetic towards others, not completely yet... I'm kind of still processing and working on this factor.
9) The storyline, simple and detailed language made me feel craving for more of it, also in that same time I felt this turning dark with every forthcoming chapter.

It's Complicated. Now I know what this "it's Complicated" relationship will be like. Because I'm having one with "Norwegian Wood".

Everyone should read this book atleast once in their lifetime, I wonder this is not the work of the author that he feels proud of. I guess I gotta explore other works as well. But... Definitely not reccommend for the people who are struggling to cope up with themselves, it'll you push more on to the darker side of life. Better take time and only pick it up when you are free of all the negativities (or the major affecting) of your life.

Happy Reading.
