A Lady's Guide to Fortune-Hunting by Sophie Irwin
3.0
This was originally marketed as an adult historical romance and while its pacing and character development definitely felt like they were aimed at adults, the tone, plot, and firmly closed door vibes (there isn't even really a kiss) made this actually feel like more than a YA novel. The rhythm also felt uneven but that may be due to this being a debut. Overall, it just left the book feeling a bit shallow. That being said, this book has some tremendously funny moments and was a breeze to read so I will continue to read this series!
