Sem (Unexpected book 2) by Cora Rose ⭐⭐⭐⭐.5

Sem is a burly oddball who finds himself completely captivated by Maggie, so much so he starts to stalk him.
Maggie is cute and fun and can't help but let Sem push his buttons and bring out his wild and competitive side.
Though the beginning of their relationship is unconventional starting with ridiculous bets, their connection is instantaneous and once they both come to accept it there are lots of sweet, cuddly moments.
It's adorable how protective Sem is over Maggie from the very beginning and how he makes sure Maggie knows how perfect he is. Maggie really has to work to get Sem to see past his insecurities and show him how much value he has and how he's more than worthy of Maggie.
I was so happy to see more of Aunt Del, Luke and Liam in this book. I love the whole Van Beek family's dynamic and how much fun and craziness they bring to the story.
You do have to suspend reality a little to enjoy this book as several of the things that happen don't seem all that plausible. If you can get past that however, the book has plenty of fun, sexy and heartfelt moments and you'll find yourself rooting for the insecure gentle giant that is Sem.

CW: stalking, homophobia, bullying.
