The Princess Saves Herself in This One by Amanda Lovelace
4.0
so if you're a beginner into poetry and need something easy to read but still contains brilliant, inspiring and enjoyable language then i would recommend this book. this is my second poetry book, my first was milk and honey by rupi kaur, and i would say this is a lot easier to get into without containing such harsh trigger warnings. this book does have a couple however which are sexual abuse and domestic abuse.
so if you want my opinion for poetry reading suggestions from tumblr, then this book first followed by milk and honey. it was the aspect of fairytales that drew me into this book when i first picked it up at waterstones, it was being recommended with milk and honey suprisingly. i don't read much/any poetry so i can't speak much about the poetry itself other than saying i found it a very quick read, a rollercoaster journey from childhood to a happy ending and i would highly recommend it.
