Tooth and Nail by Patricia Logan
4.0
Alien bats! Vampires! Space faeries! Honeybee shifters!
These are just some of the crazy paranormal and sci-fi characters who feature in this new series of Patricia Logan. As usual, and what I enjoy with Logan’s books is a series that revolves around the same couple so we get to see them deepen their connection as they continue to kick bad guy butt out in the field! Aristotle (Ari) Brown is a familiar face - we were introduced to him in the FBI Files series - and he has transferred from Kentucky to LA and been introduced to a world he had no idea existed before his first day with the ISR.
There is a LOT going on in this book as Logan sets the stage which left me a little whiplashed at times. I feel the book could have done with less or been longer so I had more time to get acquainted with this world. It definitely interested me however and I will be jumping into the next one to enjoy the journey Logan is going to take us on. I love how this carefully concealed paranormal world is set alongside Logan’s other series. I would freak out so badly if Jarrett and Thayne were introduced to the knowledge of all the craziness happening around them they have absolutely zero idea about. I can only imagine what new wild things Jarrett would get himself into.
I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book.
