It took me FOREVER to get going on this book. I honestly never thought I would never finish and I would give it a one star review. The middle got a lot better and easier to read when the topic was more about the war and rescuing Jewish neighbors. I found the ending very slow and boring again. I bought this book so I could eventually watch the movie so I’m excited to see how that stacks up. Overall I decided to give three stars because the middle captivated me but if you read his book just know the beginning and the end will be slow!
