THIS BOOK. This series has EXCEEDED my expectations. I came in, waltzing around thinking that this may be an overhyped book and I will be ✨️disappointed✨️ Once again in my life, I was proven - absolutely destroyed - wrong. And I loved it. I am slotting this in place with Six of Crows and we all know my love for the Dregs. Just that good.

I can not figure out how Jennifer Barnes wrote this series. I can not imagine the mental game she was playing with herself to first plan this out and then write it in a coherent way. The riddles, the traps, the endless game has me stumbling over myself trying to figure it out. I was tripping over words because I was desperate to see where we are ending up.

If I am overhyping this book, it's because it left my brain reeling and I love it. The story and characters played so well together that I am very impressed. It was chaos contained and I enjoyed every moment of it. This series to me was perfect and I can not wait to give this a reread down the road.

The Inheritance Games triology will stay with me for a while. The characters and their personalities captured me and the story is one of the most original story I have read. Definitely encourage anyone who likes twist and turns to give this a read.
