Lords of the Hunt by Kate King
5.0
Welcome to the Royal House of the vicious, deadly, and ruthless Everlasts.
Wild Fae's world was everything I didn't know that I ever need it. So many precise details, so much backstory, and countless secrets. Intriguing and merciless princes, political game-playing royals, and rebellious with an unlucky girl's fate. Hunts start now!
I adore Kate King's writing. She's a brilliant writer and she did a marvelous job with this book. Not only did she transition from contemporary to fantasy. She did it beautifully. You become captivated in this world on the first page, and I never want to leave.
For the last two years, I think I have read fantasy only twice? Not since I discovered the WhyChoose genre, it's hard to find a good fantasy book with good world-building. And I can tell the author cherished and spent an incredible amount of time on this book.
Lonnie is a wild, defiant, and misfortunate girl who has a gift for lying effortlessly. She has some secrets that I have been obsessed with uncovering. I've got a few solid ideas about it. Hopefully, I'm right. Her journey was a thrilling one in this book. So be warned! Laughing, crying, and most significantly, shocked.
I honestly got obsessed with the princes. Yes, plural. Don't judge me I love my psycho characters. They are ruthless and unbearably gorgeous. They live in a dark, political environment. Which makes this story so much more interesting. Everybody wants to throne but who will win?
I have a ton of theories and questions. How I'm supposed to wait until the next book. I'm more curious than Lonnie because of that ending!
