I read it cos I saw an Instagram reel of a dad crying while reading it to his daughter 🤷🏽‍♀️

I didn't know how polarising it was going to be though lol. Lots of people thought it was loving and tender, lots of other people thought it was incredibly creepy and disturbing.

I agree with another review that said the book was trying to portray the parental feeling of always wanting to hold your child no matter their age, but if taken too literally it shifts the tone to a weirder, creepy vibe. I got both sides of the coin, but in the end, I just thought it also didn't have to be that serious or deep like people are taking it.
