The Fallen Kingdom by Elizabeth May

I became really invested in this story - more than I even thought I had. I haven't been gripped by a faerie-tale since Wicked Lovely, and all the other hyped series have fallen flat for me. I picked this up on a whim, and can easily consider it one of my favorite trilogies of all time now.

I was not expecting to deal with so much heartbreak in this book. I cried - HARD. It takes a lot for a book to make me shed so many tears, and I sat in bed wallowing for quite some time. I really appreciated the ending and how it felt complete, without being too perfect.

Elizabeth May did a phenomenal job with this steampunk faerie trilogy. I loved it!
