shoutout to my therapist for this recommendation ✌🏼

HAHA no but in all seriousness this was a pretty great book.

"Owning our story and loving ourselves through that process is the bravest thing that we will ever do."

For some context (because I always look for them when it comes to self help books), I was recommended this book because I've been diagnosed with PTSD.

I've read a handful of self help books and while most books state the right things—if you have ABC then you should XYZ—they have all felt very textbook and somewhat removed. But unlike those books, The Gifts of Imperfection felt like a conversation and in a good way.

This book (like other books) is not an instant fix for challenges one might face but offers an amazing perspective on how to live wholeheartedly with personal experiences and research findings by Brené Brown.

Throughout The Gifts of Imperfection I laughed, I cried, felt super exposed and completely understood and in the end it was well worth it.

I did start reading the hardcover of this book and halfway jumped into the audible version so I don't have much of a review other than this short (ish) one because I was mostly listening 😋

“Dance like no one is watching. Sing like no one is listening. Love like you’ve never been hurt and live like it’s heaven on Earth.”

4 stars ⭐️ for the book and 5 stars ⭐️ for the delivery.

Will definitely give this a second read in the future.
