Deadly Occupants by Mads Rafferty

4.0

To celebrate moving into a house during college, friends Blair, Evie, Violet, and Phoebe decide to go on a real-life haunted house tour on Halloween night. Barely surviving the night, Blair leaves shaken and the girls decide to leave that night behind them. However, when they get back home, things start to feel off and they begin to question if it’s all in their heads or if it’s really happening.

DEADLY OCCUPANTS by Mads Rafferty is advertised as Pretty Little Liars meets Paranormal Activity and those references fit the bill perfectly!! This book oozes PLL, making it a really fun story to read during the fall.

The scares were creepy, the romance a little cringe, but the friendships were so tight and supportive that I couldn’t help but root for the girls during everything they went through.

As someone who doesn’t f with ghosts, this is not a “read at nighttime in an empty apartment” type of book 😅 and I loved that!

Thanks to the author for sending this book my way in exchange for an honest review!
