What truly brought the star count down was the MMC telling a gay man that he's a coward for not wanting to upset his parents by being gay. Other things that brought this down are the following: "respected felon" (what the fuck does that mean??), how the hell can he go to Disney world while on parole, they literally never used a condom and essentially were like "let's have a baby" after dating FOR A WEEK, the MMC "knowning" things but it literally they never stated prior or even hinted at prior (her renting the house for example and someone else getting paroled), violence is okay but only when they (the motorcycle club) do it, being kinda lowkey racist and ableist (when at disney world and refering to the people that bothered the MMC when they got too close), and the weird/not at all related quotes at the beginning of each chapter that are so cringy millennial that it physically hurt (I'm all for being millennial but the quotes themselves were terrible and not at all funny).
Anyways I picked this up thinking it'd be silly goofy (in a sense to break up the heavy nonfiction I am reading) and it was not at all.
