A Girl's Guide to Vampires by Katie MacAlister

5.0

I am officially reading this whole series over again because the last book got me so into it again. That said..

I don't think this is one of my favorite books from Katie MacAlister, but that doesn't mean it's not any good. Personally I just haven't found it in myself to fall in love with Christian. Raphael on the other hand,
Spoilerdespite the fact that he isn't a Dark One,
I fell head over heels with as soon as he walked into the room.

And Roxy.. I spent the entire book wishing she was my best friend instead of Joy's. She is so cute and outspoken I laughed at everything she said. And I'm happy she found someone that she could fall in love with too. I'd have hated for her to go without. Her e-mail at the end, where she said that Joy should write a book and name it A Girl's Guide to Vampires, made me giggle.

But like I said.. the entire time she is trying to fight off Christian's advances, and I'm glad she did. She is much better off with Raphael. Maybe by reading the second book I'll find it in myself to like Christian a bit more.. but mostly I just wish he would get over himself and stop being all caveman-ish. I get it.. he was born 900 years ago.. but get with the times buddy. Acclimate to the new millennium already.
