The Rabbit Hutch by Tess Gunty
3.0
Huh. This is one of the most lauded books of the year. To me it felt like someone who had never set foot in the Midwest writing about the Midwest, so I was surprised to find out the author is actually from Indiana. It seemed like every character other than the MC was a stock cliche, and the MC was not terribly believable. I really thought it was going somewhere with the young adults who had just aged out of foster care, but we got too little of them and too much of random other apartments in the building.
