Under the Lion Star by Kathryn Moore is the first book in a series of interconnected standalones.
What to expect:
⭐ Fantasy romance
⭐ Hidden identity
⭐ Friends to lovers
⭐ Marriage of convenience
⭐ Found family
⭐ Elves
⭐ Low stakes
Content warnings:
⚠️ Death of a parent / parents
⚠️ Murder
This book has a lot of elements that make it an interesting read, but it is a very high level story. I typically read books that have more in-depth relationship and character development, so ultimately this book is not for me.
Even though it is considered a fantasy romance since there are elves, there is little to no fantasy aspects and it leans heavily into the romance. I almost would have preferred this to have just been a period piece romance because it left me wanting a lot more from the story.
This book is available on Kindle Unlimited, for my fellow subscribers. I chose to read this book on Kindle Unlimited to further support the author.
For transparency, Kathryn gifted me a copy of this book, but these opinions are all of my own. I took Kathryn's status as a smaller author into my star rating.
