Didn't think it was possible, but it was better the second time around. This is one of my favourite books of all time. The writing is beautiful, the world-building is phenomenal, and the characters are unforgettable. I know some people find it slow to start, but I was hooked immediately both times. Laini Taylor became one of my favourite authors after I read Daughter of Smoke and Bone, and Strange the Dreamer reinforced that for me.
