Its like idk a 3,8/5 stars read?

Absolutely loved that I could connect so much with the main character, it was scary how many things we had in common! Unfortunately I didnt really connect with any of the other characters bc they felt really flat to me, as if they didnt have a storyline of their own outside of what we read. There was a lot of potential there tho as the side characters were very interesting.

This book is definitely more plot driven which is fine, just not really for me. I did appreciate the storyline between Savannah and her mum, a bit intense but very beautifully done.

Also the body positivity in this book?? Delicious. Highly appreciate the fact that savvy’s weight was just a matter of fact in this book and there wasnt an obvious focus on it, very refreshing. I marked too many quotes to count.

The romance was very lowkey but very cute and fluffy, perfect for a typical YA book set in high school!

I really do appreciate this book and the messages it carries. Just like the author mentions in the acknowledgements, I too wish younger me couldve read this book and learn to appreciate all that she is a bit sooner in her life. I hope for some young ones out there right now, this book will be doing just that.
