Viktor has been in love with Lydia for years, long before she knew of him. He skated on the outskirts of her life, dealing with her bullies and enemies. He never thought that he would actually be with her because she was promised to someone else. However, his brothers were able to secure a marriage between Viktor and Lydia. Although Lydia doesn’t fully trust Viktor. She was unaware of how dangerous and disgusting her former fiancé was. Viktor is a truly lovable guy who’s only desire in life is to be with Lydia. She has a difficult time trusting and believing in him. I enjoyed the way Viktor made sure that he gave Lydia everything she wanted and that he loved her so much that he was able to remain celibate for years. I loved that Lydia was a tough chick, a little bit of a pyromaniac but so strong and fearless. I also liked that she wasn’t one of those mafia princess who was naive and timid. This was a story of two mature people meeting each other and complimenting each other so that they marriage could flourish. A very entertaining book with some on page violence and lots of spice. Although I started with the fourth book, I intend to read the previous three books.
