The Office Nemesis Calamity by Hayden Hall

5.0

I have read this series since its prequel, and although they are low angst books, easy to read, with funny situations, etc., each one of them contributed something to me. Each of them shows a different facet, shows a different journey for each protagonist, with different realities and obstacles to face, and despite the fact that they come from wealthy environments, their lives have not been easy for that.

In this last instance, what I was left with is how one can hurt a person, without even having that intention. On the contrary, thinking that one is showing them the way. In this case I mean Theo and his parents.

His life in his house, the teachings of his parents marked him in such a way that he practically erased a part of himself. It's not that he hid it, it's not that he buried it deep within himself. He directly deleted it. With great consequences, such as hurting Justin and the consequent pranks from him and his friends, even the fact that the only thing Theo focused on was his studies and work. And it also caused him to want to cut ties with his family. Even though he didn't understand himself, he knew that there was something that wasn't letting him fully live.

And then we have Justin. I can't say that I approve of how he behaved with Theo, but I can say that I understand. Feeling used is not something that a person assimilates easily. Add a broken heart to that anger, and the fact that the transition from adolescence to adulthood is not easy, and you have a recipe for disaster. The situation with Theo left Justin with a bitter taste that he couldn't shake, even four years later.

And then, the reunion. Something that shakes them both, and although at first they practically couldn't bear to be in each other's presence, the attraction ended up being stronger, which made both of them, each on their own, go on a good introspective journey. Especially Theo.

It is always sad to say goodbye to characters that became endearing to you, whom you got to know more than well because they appeared throughout the books over and over again, revealing slices of their lives.

I hope soon to see the three remaining f*kboys appear in a spin off or whatever. Please [a:Hayden Hall|20997448|Hayden Hall|https://images.gr-assets.com/authors/1608820892p2/20997448.jpg]. I need it!!

I was given an advanced copy and wrote a voluntarily review.
