Aurora is a princess who runs away with a werewolf. Not the wolf king, like the title alludes to, but another, who could be king if he wanted to.. I guess. And so goes the story of the wolf king (again,  not actually who the book if about). Altogether this book was interesting, though a trifle predictable. It tries to lead you in all sorts of directions, some which are true and others that may be hinting at something coming in a later book. It does a good job of keeping you interested in finding out what comes next. I had several theories on what was going to happen, some were true, some were not (or maybe just not yet). We shall have to see where this series
