okay you give me any version of aladdin and it’s an automatic 5 stars for me 😌 especially if jafar is hot and ends up with jasmine because woo boy I have thoughts about live action jafar mkay

ANYWAY

I’m obsessed with this series so much, and julian and yasmin’s story elevated the story to a whole other level! the slow burn was absolutely perfect, the enemies to lovers was unmatched, and the side characters? stunning I loved every second of it

my favorite parts of all of these books are the subtle hints to the original fairytale. in this case, the search for the lamp was a big factor, which I admit didn’t make a whole lot of sense, but I appreciated it nonetheless

AND once yasmin and julian got together, their relationship went from zero to one hundred so fast!! I was a little caught off guard by the pacing change, but I didn’t mind because 🥵🥵🥵

this was on par with HOOKED for me, and I cannot wait for the next installment!
