Their Fractured Light by Amie Kaufman, Meagan Spooner
3.0
Sigh, I wanted this series to go to some serious existential places from Lilac’s perspective and we barely even scratched the surface- we never even returned to Lilac’s perspective. That was my fear from book 1.
This series follows a format of introducing two new teens each book, and alternating chapters from each of their perspectives. And it does not deviate from this at ANY cost. I hate that we spend an entire book building connections with new characters and then in the next book they’re just these robotic shells interacting with our NEW characters. It feels empty and sad and I wish they just weren’t in the book at all if we don’t get to read from their perspective ever again.
