Passion or Penalty by Leah Brunner
3.0
A 120 page novella has no business being that adorable.
My thoughts:
- I don’t normally care much for the brother’s best friend trope but I though it was well done here.
- Loved the healthy communication between the two characters. They literally just talked through problems and straight-up said how they were feeling. Imagine that.
- I was so happy to find that this is not only closed-door but the characters also decided to save intimacy for marriage (although it’s not super in your face which I appreciate). Love that!
- Ummm, is hockey romance becoming my new favorite sub-genre? Perhaps. I think I need to start watching real hockey too now…
This was the first book I’ve read by this author and I can’t wait to read more by her and continue this series! 3.75 stars because even though I enjoyed this I know I’m never going to think about it again
