3.5 - while I loved the dynamic between Shen QingQui and Luo Binghe and even loved them individually as characters, I felt the pacing of book two really hindered book one’s fun introduction to the world and book three’s climax and conclusion to the story. I wish the two of them had spent more time together in books two and three, then I probably would have rated it higher because I loved their interactions together. Overall, I’m glad I picked this series up because I loved Shen QingQui’s pov and Luo Binghe’s threatening demonic aura masking his clingy puppy-dog personality was incredibly endearing
