The Mistake

Elle Kennedy

After such an amazing first book, I had high expectations for the rest of the series. I must say that this book had great potential, but I don't think it quite lived up to it.

I mean, this book was great, and I enjoyed reading it. I only think it was missing something.

Cool concept to create a series that follows fates of the same friend group. I wanted to like this couple so much. But Logan made so many wrong choices that didn't sit well with me. And yet Grace forgives him and starts dating that dumb dumb.

I know deep down he's a good guy, but some things he did. I couldn't ignore them, and therefore I didn't like him that much. On the other hand, I admire that Grace was at least strong enough to call him out on it. And for quite some time, she stood her ground.

I adore the style of writing this author has. It's easy to read, the pace is nice, there are two points of view, you also get to see other people from that friend group. Truly a chef's kiss on that part.

Overall I liked the main characters in this story less compared to the first book. However, the storyline was better, in my opinion. I gave this book three out of five stars on Goodreads. I can recommend it if you're looking for something light to read.
