Where the Black Line Ends by Meagan Williamson

5.0

🇺🇸I absolutely loved the first book, If I Never Remember, so I couldn't wait to get my hands on this one and read Reed's story after everything that happened in Bear Lake.

Meagan Williamson truly did an incredible job with this sequel. I'm a bit of a special case because the character who touched me the most here is surely Hailey's father. My heart bled for Jack throughout the entire book, and I'm so glad his relationship with his daughter is looking better by the end. The same goes for Reed and his father, whose evolving bond was deeply moving.

I cried my way through the final chapters. I don't know if I'll ever truly forgive Meagan for (spoiler) but honestly, it's part of what made the story feel so raw and real. Life isn't all roses and marshmallows, and I love when romance novels acknowledge that. Meagan owes me at least two dozen tissues for the emotional rollercoaster she created.

This book broke me and healed me all at once—a powerful, unforgettable read that left me sobbing in my pillow at 1 AM. That's how I know I loved it. When a story can shatter your heart and put the pieces back together, it's something special.
