Though I don't remember Alice's Adventures in Wonderland properly, the beginning seemed the same. The original version of this classic is lot shorter and doesn't actually include the many popular characters from Alice's Adventures in Wonderland, such as Mad Hatter, Cheshire Cat, The Duchess, etc. This version has only 4 chapters compared to Alice's Adventures in Wonderland's 12 chapters. This is because the original manuscript was revised and expanded to include more famous songs and poems.

This short version is recommended to read if you loved Alice's Adventures in Wonderland.
