My biggest issue with this book was that the hero was ENGAGED for like 30% of it?? No cheating, but dang his ex was annoying. BUT BUT BUT - I still enjoyed the book a lot and I understood why he didn't just dump her. She was his first everything and they'd been together for 7 years... he felt loyalty to her, not love, and felt like he had to stick with her because she'd always been by his side.
But for us, the readers, it was very clear what was going to happen.
And when it finally did... EXPLOSIONS (chemistry. smex. etc.)
This book was fairly low angst (although TW below) and I just loved the easy chemistry and relationship and love between the two MCs. Love a sports/celebrity romance where the guy isn't suuuuper promiscuous (nothing wrong with it just don't love reading about it).
TWs:parental abandonment, parental neglect (past, off page), parental death, miscarriage
