I picked this up for my 8-year-old daughter and we BOTH loved it. Granted, I would have liked to start with part one but we take what the library has. This book is so funny and has great preteen whinery and over-exaltation of the self.

I'm very glad is is a whole series so she has more to read. She tried the Dork Diaries series and it was too much "OMG, SQUEE!" bullshit.
