Paul Revere's Ride by David Hackett Fischer

5.0

This book captures a snapshot of a day - specifically April 18, 1775. It is not a biography of Paul Revere, although his life story is described in sufficient detail that I never felt wanting of more. The descriptions of people and events alike are so vivid that they become almost cinematic, yet the research is rigorous and even the minute characters have depth to them. Absolutely fantastic read, one of the best you'll find on the Revolutionary era.
