Have mercy on me by Aria Grace
2.5
I liked the first book in this series enough to give more of them a chance, but this one didn't really hit for me. It felt a lot more rushed than the first one, and it felt like the relationship between Tony and Jason was based on absolutely nothing. Tony broke Jason's trust in what I would consider to be a pretty big way, and it was enough to make Jason feel betrayed enough to cry, and in the next breath, he was suddenly happy again. This book also skipped over a ton of relationship building and had a lot of fade to black moments... and it just felt really empty to me. I liked the parts where he and Jesse were working on and at their business. I really wish these books were a little longer, because they feel rushed and it isn't doing them any favors.
